Mid-Hudson Regional Sustainability Coalition

To reduce carbon pollution and prepare for a changing climate, in 2013-14 New York invested in ten Regional Sustainability Plans that lay out goals and strategies for sustainable development. Coordinated by Orange County Planning Department and the Town of Greenburgh, the Mid-Hudson’s plan outlines needs and opportunities in agriculture and open space protection, transportation and land use, water, energy and materials management.

SHV is part of an alliance of regional organizations that is developing a road map for achieving the goals of the plan and integrating sustainable development goals into the Hudson Valley’s economic development strategies.
